Philippe’s French Dip and Dodgers game

Philippe's in Downtown LA has served the city since 1908 and is the home of the French Dip sandwich. The double-dipped beef sandwich with blue cheese is a best seller, or you can choose a filling of pork or lamb. Round out your tray with old-fashioned favorites like tapioca pudding, pickled beet eggs and homemade pie. Do you dare try a pickled pig's foot?

After an early lunch, join us at Dodgers Stadium to watch the Dodgers-Indians game at 12:55pm. We've got a small block of seats in the Top Deck at $9 each. Drop me a line if you're interested in a ticket. Or, feel free to come just for lunch at Philippe's.

Where: Philippe the Original, 1001 N Alameda St, Los Angeles, 90012 (in Chinatown).
